The Good Shepherd Hostel is the youngest sibling in Our Melting Pot Hostel family – your trusted budget accommodation provider, twice recognized as the Best Hostel in the Philippines.

Not a luxury hostel.  Not a boutique hostel. There is no lift which means guests need to climb the stairs to the 3rd floor.  Hostel site is a few steps away from the red light strip.  But believe that this is your HOME in Manila, enriched with elements that make for meaningful backpacking experience: 24/7 staff to attend to your needs, spacious rooms with A/C, comfy pillows, hotel-grade mattresses, hot-and-cold showers. We have dedicated housekeepers who keep the place spic-and-span. The dorms feature double-stacked, custom-built single bunk beds, secure locker (bring your own padlock), and reading light. Ladies may opt for all-female ensuite dorm.

We hostel with a heart… of the biblical good shepherd! We provide you with the opportunity to enrich or develop lasting friendships with fellow travelers in a unique shared-living arrangement, and create the space for your mind or spirit to shift or sustain its focus from self to others.

Confirmed bookings come with the privilege of joining the much talked-about Tour of Old Manila (Intramuros, Luneta and CCP Complex) for FREE! Breakfast is included and served daily from 7 to 11 AM. We have a self-service kitchen, too, if you wish to grab ingredients from the local market and prepare your own dish. We have 24-hour security cameras, individual lockers, and a night-guard in the building to help ensure your safety at all times.

We have picked and designed a visually-arresting property:  rounded arc facade, a cabin-like interior, marbled floors and wooden furnishings. The place gives an inviting feeling of comfort and is a venue for you to relax and savor an unhurried pace of city life even as it is neatly positioned at the center of happenings in the country’s financial and entertainment capital – Makati City.  Note that the area is where you enjoy epic night-outs. Discover unique places of worship. Explore massive shopping centers, awesome weekend markets, vast green parks, and a museum that proves to be the perfect introduction to Philippine history and culture. 🙂
